This year's levy to fund maintenance and operations expenditures exceeds last year's
maintenance and operations tax
levy.
Galveston Community College District PROPOSED (8/6/25) A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE
MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 0.13 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE
AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-0.10.

The proposed FY2026 budget is $31,511,200 a increase of $1,024,575 or 3.9% from FY 2025
The College has outstanding Debt of $27,210,000 as of 8/1/25 not secured with Property tax and has no Interest & Sinking Tax Rate.
