Overcoming stereotypes is subject of student success talk on March 28

The Student Activities office at Galveston College will present “Overcoming Stereotypes and Bias” on Wednesday, March 28, from 3-4 p.m. in the Abe and Annie Seibel Foundation Wing-West at Galveston College, 4015 Avenue Q, Galveston, Texas.

This interactive seminar and open discussion will assist attendees in examining personal biases and challenge stereotypes.

“Participants also will receive tips for overcoming biases and how to look beyond ‘first impressions’ to overcome stereotyping,” said presenter Cynthia Parra, coordinator of Student Activities at Galveston College.
