The Galveston College Community Chorale will present its 2026 spring concert, “America,
of Thee I Sing,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Moody Methodist Church.
The concert is free and open to the public. Moody Methodist Church is located at 2803

This year’s performance celebrates the 250th anniversary of America’s independence,
featuring a patriotic program honoring the nation’s history and spirit. The evening
will include a presentation of the colors by the Texas Society of the Sons of the
American Revolution.
Audience members can expect a dynamic selection of beloved American works, including
“My Country, ’Tis of Thee” accompanied by a brass ensemble, “America,” and George
M. Cohan’s “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” along with selections by Irving Berlin.
Chorale accompanist Ron Wyatt will also perform “The Stars and Stripes Forever” on
the organ, adding to the evening’s patriotic tribute.
The program will include special recognition of U.S. veterans and active-duty members
of the Armed Forces.
