Galveston College Upward Bound Director, Priselda Perez, and UB Academic Coordinator, Gabriela Zepeda, co-presented “Fostering Leadership and Effectiveness in TRIO Programs” in late February with TRIO colleagues from Tyler Junior College and the University of North Texas at the Texas TRIO Association Conference.
In addition to their presentation, Perez and Zepeda were highly active in the TRIO Association and served as co-chairs of the TRIO Association Conference Program Development Committee. Zepeda chaired the TRIO Conference Registration Committee, while Perez co-chaired the TRIO Conference Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Ads Committee. Zepeda participated on the same committee as a member.
During the conference, Zepeda was also inducted into a second term as secretary of the Texas TRIO Executive Board.
