The purpose and responsibility of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) is to protect the rights and welfare of human research subjects. The IRB reviews and oversees research activities involving human subjects and requires that the research complies, as applicable, with Federal regulations, Texas law, and all other pertinent regulations and guidelines.
