Board of Regents Adopts 2016 Tax RateFIND US ONLINE
The Board of Regents of the Galveston Community College District adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year's tax rate. The tax rate will "effectively" be raised by 3.74 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $6.69. Although the District is required by law to provide this information, the tax rate adopted for the 2016 tax year is actually less than the previous year's tax rate.
