Services for Single Parents and Single Pregnant Women

With funds from the Carl Perkins Discretionary Grant for Single Parents and Single Pregnant Women, Galveston College, in collaboration with local community agencies and organizations, other educational institutions, and the private sector, develops and implements a variety of activities to help single parents and single pregnant women. This includes child care assistance, tutoring, personal counseling, job placement, etc.

To be eligible for services and/or assistance, the student must BE:

1.  a single parent or a single pregnant female

2.  economically disadvantaged

3.  a declared vocational/technical major
