Galveston College was awarded funds to help adult learners complete their GED and complete workforce training at the same time.  The program utilizes a contextualized curriculum. For example, students training to be welders should anticipate GED preparation which will include reading about welding, writing about welding,  and using math to solve welding problems. This training is available at little or no cost to the student.

Galveston College offers 3 pathways for students to complete the GED and obtain an entry-level certificate in:

HVAC-R

WELDING

MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING
