Dual Credit/Early Enrollment

High school students can earn up to 36 college credits while concurrently attending high school. Galveston College's Dual Credit/Early Admissions Program provides an opportunity for high schools students  to get a head-start on earning transferable college credits at a minimal cost before graduating from high school.  Contact a Galveston College Counselor or Advisor at (409) 944-1341 for a list of courses and admission procedures.  Dual Credit is also available through designated Advanced Placement high school courses. A limit of six credit hours per semester may taken.

Requirements:

1.  Completion of sophomore year of high school.
2.  Parental approval (signatures required) 
3.  Recommendation by the high school principal or counselor (signatures required).
4.  Score at college level on TAKS, SAT, ACT, THEA or THEA alternative tests.
5.  Completed and signed application for admission
6.  An official copy of the high school transcript with current grades submitted to the Office of Admissions

Download a Dual Credit/Early Enrollment form or pick one up from your High School counselor.  The Office of Admissions will not process forms that do not have the required signatures.
