Galveston College's Cosmetology Program is designed to train students in the basic manipulative skills, safety, judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to achieve competency in job entry-level skills, obtain licensure, and gainful employment in the field of cosmetology or related career fields. Its our mission to provide training with the opportunity for students career success. Our goal is to develop professional quality learners equip with education and practical experience. Our team will strive to set examples, show leadership, and provide knowledge that leads to a career as a cosmetologist, instructor, and/or in cosmetology sciences and arts. 

Instructor PROGRAM

The 750 hour Cosmetology Program will provide the student with the training necessary to provide proper instruction
and varied classroom situations. Emphasis will be on classroom management, curriculum development, assessment
methods and use of media in the classroom. To be admitted into the Instructor's Program, student m
ust already have a cosmetology operators license or a specialty license. Student must also have one year verifiable work experience in a salon setting. The experience can be done concurrently while enrolled in the one year instructors program at Galveston College. 




Galveston College's Cosmetology Program also has the Novalash Extensionist program. This is the 320 hour curriculum approved by TDLR as well as certification through Novalash.
