NURSING-ASSOCIATE DEGREE
Associate of Applied Science Degree - (5208/ADN-AAS)
The Associate Degree Nursing Program is approved by the Texas Board of Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Nursing is a service to individuals, to families and to the community of man. The individual nurse has scientifically based competencies and skills to assist people, sick or well, to cope with their health needs. Nursing is practiced in conjunction with other disciplines of the health care team.
Students are scheduled to begin their program in the fall and must complete all courses in the curriculum to meet requirements to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses. Upon completion of the two-year, 72 credit-hour curriculum, graduates will be awarded the Associate in Applied Science degree in Associate Degree Nursing.
