APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED FROM 8TH GRADE STUDENTS FOR THE GALVESTON COLLEGE TRIO-UPWARD BOUND PROGRAM

The Galveston College TRiO - Upward Bound Program is federally funded through the Department of Education.  It is a college preparatory program designed to serve potential first generation college students who have financial need and demonstrate the potential and desire to succeed with the program’s support.  A first generation college student is one whose parents have not obtained a four-year degree from college.  Students must be a U.S. citizen or in the process of filing for permanent residency. Students must also be planning to enroll at Ball High School.

The deadline to submit completed applications is April 22, 2009.
