The Galveston College Foundation has joined with the family and friends of Rob Brasier to form an endowed memorial scholarship. Brasier died February 27 of this year while attending the University of Washington as a scholarship baseball player. He graduated from Ball High School with highest honors in May of 2006, was named a National Merit Scholar and participated in local Boy Scout and baseball programs.
Rob’s parents, Anne and Allan Brasier along with family members and friends have decided to endow the Rob Brasier Memorial Scholarship to offer computer students at Galveston College an opportunity for a merit based scholarship. Rob was an avid computer science student having taken computer classes at high school and Galveston College in his early teens.

The 27th Annual Galveston College Student Art Exhibition opens on Thursday, May 3, 2007, with a public reception between 5:00 -7:00 p. m. on the third floor Fine Arts Gallery at 4105 Avenue Q. Featured works will include Ceramics, Photography, Paintings, Drawings and Sculptures. The Exhibition runs through July 12, 2007.
Galveston College will hold early registration for the Summer I and II sessions from Monday, April 23, 2007 until Friday, May 11, 2007. Registration will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays and 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. The first summer session classes begin on Monday, June 4, 2007. University bound students who will register for summer courses at Galveston College should apply now.
