QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related area, preferably with coursework in Marketing. A minimum of two years’ experience in a distributed network technology environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Skilled in Microsoft IIS 7, IIS6, Apache Web Server, and other web-server applications;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Web Content Management software;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mobile application technologies;
  • Extensive competencies with Microsoft Sharepoint 2007 and 2012, including migration, web-part development and implementation, workflow creation and analysis;
  • Experience with Document Management Systems, eForms, workflows and maintenance;
  • Customer service oriented and responsive to user-reported issues;
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  • Able to proactively manage and administer College website and intranet sites to maximize delivery and uptime;
  • Able to estimate project timelines, define milestones, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Education Skills and Abilities

  • Three to four years’ experience in computer networking, server administration, and information technology in a Microsoft Server environment and an Ellucian Colleague ERP environment;
  • Three to four years’ experience in website demographic analytics and demonstrated ability to  recommend action based on outcomes;
  • Experienced with the xCatalyst Web Content Management software solution;
  • Experienced with Ademero Content  Central Document Storage system;
  • Familiar with Mobile Application Development;
  • Familiar with .net applications, .asp, java, and visual basic, MS SQL Server, and ODBC compliant reporting tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology, the Web Applications Specialist will be responsible for a wide range of Internet and College Intranet-based systems.  Develops, implements, and maintains web-based applications for the College.  Oversees the College’s social media and web presence to accomplish the College’s goals in marketing, enrollment, and student success.  Analyzes existing or developed systems, evaluates processes, and works with appropriate resources to maximize efficiencies and minimize downtime. This is a security sensitive position.
