Culinary Arts Scholarship Luncheon
Please join Galveston College Chef Paul Mendoza and his Culinary Arts class for the Spring Culinary Scholarship Luncheon that will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012. Our menu this semester is inspired by the Hawaiian Islands, and recipes were developed by the Kapi’olani Community College culinary arts department with the Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension (DASH) eating plan. The first course will be a chilled Cucumber Bisque with Cherry Tomato garnish, followed by the main course of Four-Seeded Salmon and Pumpkin-Miso Risotto. Dessert will be Mango cake with Liliko’I (passion fruit) frosting. Following tradition, lunch will be served in the Atrium of the Northen Building on the Galveston College campus. Price remains $15.00 and proceeds help fund scholarships for our Culinary Arts students. For reservations, please call Mari Macias at 409-944-1286.
